    Question Transferring Keyboard Shortcuts? ARSP3.5 --> AR4

    hy there
    is there an easy way to get my custom keyboard shortcuts transferred from ArtRage Studio Pro 3.5 to new ArtRage 4 without having to manually reassign them all?
    thanks for any suggestions

    If you still have ArtRage 3 installed the easiest way is to export them from the Shortcuts Panel and load them in to ArtRage 4.

    If you don't have 3 installed then the old keyboard shortcuts file is located in the Application Support folder which can be found like so:

    Windows:

    1. Open the AppData folder: On most versions of Windows you can do this by pressing the Windows key + R then in the 'Run' dialog type: 'Appdata' (without the quotes) and press OK. If that doesn't work, type: 'Application Data' and press OK.

    2. If you see an Ambient Design folder, open that. If instead you see a Roaming folder, open that then the Ambient Design folder.

    3. In there should be an ArtRage 3 folder, open it and copy the file 'currentshortcuts.sck' to your desktop.

    4. Launch ArtRage and import that file to the shortcuts panel.

    Mac OS X:

    This one's tricky because it changes frequently from OS to OS... In general:

    1. In the Finder, press Cmd + Shift + G. This opens the 'Go' window ('Go to Folder' in the Go menu should also open this).

    2. Type: ~/Library

    3. Click Go.

    That should open your user Library folder.

    4. Open Application Support, then 'ArtRage 3'. Inside there is the currentshortcuts.sck file. Copy that to your desktop.

    5. Import that file in to the shortcuts panel in ArtRage 4.

    thank you Matt, it worked like a charm! (Win8)
