    step one.. laying down undercolor... complimentary color for flesh tones here..

    D Akey: thanks, this use of a complimentary color under the flesh tones will shadow that area without mixing the fleshtones.. probably not quite what i will want in the end product but well into the general area.... my od painting professor said " when you want to start a painting get some paint on the canvas.. i doesnt matter much what color as long the value is in the range you might want. ill also use a llittle violet in here too.
