Thread: New here, loving Art Rage 3

  1. New here, loving Art Rage 3

    Hey guys,

For 99% of my work I use Painter 12 and Photoshop. I love both programs, but have had some problems with painter 12 when it comes to oils. By chance I happened to see someone mention Art Rage 3 in the Painter forum so I downloaded a demo and gave it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. It may not be as feature-packed as Painter, but the oils in Art Rage trump any other digital painting program I have ever used. I love it! Decided I couldn't live without it, bought the full Pro version and now I'm happy. Last night I spent a couple of hours learning the ropes. These two took me about an hour (for both) to create,.... just very fast doodling. Can't wait to get some time with it again tonight. I'm pretty sure I will be using Art Rage for some of my illustration work for sure.

Always seductive painting with colored light to pull one into super intense color ranges. Very different energetic from traditional media. It's like moving into another world. Cool.
