    Jackson's Lane in Watercolour

    Build up using multiple layers, lighter tones and the top, darker tones at the bottom.

    This is fabulous

    I l ove the scene and the colors. I think you have captured the essence of a lovely scene in every detail.

    A wonderful painting, it has great depth and the eye is led right into the scene.
    Who would have thought that something as simple as an old gate could turn into this.

    Thanks everyone, generally I don't like picking up the colours ( I call it smudging), but I was doodling from one of my favourite photos I took one summer in one of my favourite places. It took me a bout 3 days to complete.

    wow a very creative landscape.. I love the distant hills and the red poppies.. but what really is interesting the the blue rag tied around the post.. very interesting artistic element.
