Dog Sketch

Hi all
After playing around with my tablet and artrage exploring all the great things one can do with them, thought it was about time I tried to do something that I consider "sensible" ! Being a pet portrait artist for many years it had to be a dog and not just any dog more like " she who must be obeyed " and who we live with ! She also happens to be my avater, so you will see that she is quite a scruffy odd looking pooch and not the easiet to draw, so as I am still working on a graphite portrait of her, thought it would be good practice to also have a go at doing her in AR. I know that it is recommended to use layers but I thought it would be good to go straight in and do it as I would a "real drawing" so it is all on 1 layer so far, plus I have to say that I am still sort of struggling with how to use them properly.

I have done some more on this and even though I see a lot of things that I am not happy about, I have learnt quite a bit more about the tools and feel more comfortable using them now, it has been a fun process so far I hope to stick with it and aim to get it finished soon.

Thankyou Saphire...yes I have been doing Pet Portraits for a long time now with Coloured/Graphite pencils but this is my first proper digital piece. I really like Artrage and hope to learn more as I go along.
