    Tyranny Of the Sand

Having lived in both the SouthWest and Coasts, this is a phenomenon which can't be ignored. One layer. Oils. Orig working size 5600x4300 pxls at 400 ppi.

Was just watching the third season of Heroes and there is a sequence in it where "something bad" happened. The location they chose looked just like this, and they chose it for a reason. And yes, the characters had been ignoring the memory for a long time, but could no longer. You got some of them there 'special abilities', son?

But on the more serious side, and probably in keeping with what you intended, the 'desertification' of the planet is beyond doubt at this point.

Very good and powerful painting. I really enjoy the undercurrent of politics in your paintings.

Great palette and I like the barren look you have given this one
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

Nice picture but sad. Desertification is a worldwide problem not only in africa.

Nicely done Skylar, you certainly created a barren look, nice effect on the old tin roofs.

The desertification process is a serious and widespread phenomenon consequent to the climate change we induced. You showed it quite eloquently.
P.S. Tyranny instead of Tyrrany ...

Totally agree with Zeropainter on desertification. Your painting is wonderful as always.
