    Into the Misty River Morn

Hi, I've been using ArtRage since well before AR3 was a twinkle in the developer's eye, and it's easily the best digital painting program available...and I've tried many! Up until now I haven't paid much attention to the forums...well, never really. But when my 12 year old son decided he wanted to try AR after watching me "play" on it, I was drawn to here after downloading the program on my son's PC.

So this is my first posting in the forum gallery. Since I well and truly tend to realism in my paintings, I try to use AR as a "straight" painting program, using minimal layers and attempting to emulate the feel of real brush-strokes on a real canvas. And that's why I love AR so much. There is no other program that does this so convincingly.

    Hope you enjoy my efforts

Rarely do I see trees so well rendered that I can identify the species from the bark alone.

Plop of paddles is the only sound in silence you painted. This painting wants to be heard.

Can we have lots more please? Being an Australian, seeing badly painted gum trees is so common, but this is beautiful.... and I'm very envious!
