    I like the addition of the color. It livens it up, feels like dawn to me, which of course would change the mood. It's warmer. More optimistic. The fox's perch gives an overview to it that encourages. He feels more like a Jonathan Livingston Seagull kind of character now.

    I guess I have to be different, I prefer the first one as you have drawn his coat sticking out from his body like many animals do when the weather is really cold.
    The addition of colour does make a different scene and certainly warms things up, but then the fox should not look as frigid.
