    Just a doodle for shiggles.

    I was browsing through some of my inspiration images and when I had been looking at some Roger Dean stuff I felt like painting this.

    Really good, great atmosphere and love the way you gave the rocks such substance to them.

    Thanks for looking in and commenting limey-g. This was fun to paint. I had a notion to populate the image with more signs of human habitation but time didn't permit. In my imagination though I kept smelling that salty wind from the sea and thinking of a fishing and trading culture making use of the area. I might develop that idea at some point.

    You really grabbed Roger Dean's essence here. Bravo! A very good illustrator indeed, although generally a little too "artificial" for my taste.
