I'm having lots of fun with little critters at the moment.

Phenomenal bunch of artpieces with a drawing style absolutely superb and effective. Expressions, textures, moves, all look just perfect. Bravissimo!

    These are outstanding !!
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

Thank you all, very much for your kind words. I am toying with the idea of putting a daisy chain around the piglet's neck, but will wait until our springtime 'capeweed' daisies come out, which won't be long, so I can get some reference. My first baby elephant is my favourite, and I put him into the 'work in progress' section while I did him. Here is the final result.

You stunned me once more with the last one! Is it just pencil that You used for drawing? I rather guess You used another tool for areas, but Your mastery may have well found some way to exploit pencils beyond what I presume can be done with them.

Background was just blocked in with Ink Pen and blended with WC Blender. Then mostly building up layers of colour over and over on a 'rough canvas' with a 'scratchy pencil'. Lots of lines. My big party trick towards the end which works a treat is I select an area that needs to be darker (or lighter) with the 'freehand tool' and 'adjust colours'.... darker (or lighter), deselect and blend the edges with the pencil, NOT a blender. That gives the shadows and form authenticity. I do this lots... backwards and forwards until I am happy, AND best of all, you don't lose your original pencil marks. They remain intact.
