    Spacescapes?

I can't seem to figure out an easy way to do a convincing starscape. Best I can do is very small glitter on a black background. It's okay, but it doesn't quite look random enough. Anyone got any ideas about that? Thanks in advance!

What about finding some photos of actual space scenes and making up a stencil to get you started? The NASA website might be a useful starting point and you can adapt it to what you need

MisterPaint has a pack of 32 space themed stencils called 'FromTheSky'. You can find it on his site here; http://www.artrage.it/stencils.htm

Wow, SuffolkGal-- The NASA gallery is mesmerizing. I need to walk away from my computer and get on with my life but I continue to open one photo after another after another... beautiful. Thank you for telling us about this resource.

Excellent ideas, all. Many many thanks for your ideas. I downloaded that From the Sky set, and I'll see how that looks.

I was playing with the glitter, and came up with something that doesn't completely suck. Glitter, set on Grit, 0% Glitter Size, 0% Pressure, 5% Multicolor. Paint in diagonals with the ABSOLUTE LIGHTEST TOUCH YOU CAN MANAGE.

    Seems to be okay.

    Thumbs up Try this

UIC Universe Image Creator (stand alone or Artrage plugin available...excellent starfields and planets and well lots more.. I love the starfields.....and usually paint my own planets and airbrush gasses....

low price too. It also does 3d planet animations...wow. A perfect addition PlugIn to ArtRage SP 3

Making your own stencils is easy too as well as using Misterpaints space stencils.
Also, NASA has a huge amount of images for reference.
