    Summer Day

    Thank you both. This was done on iPad, wc with many layers , and different blend modes. I see the lower right hand corner needs refining and need to take it over to studios pro, but the iPad is where I have the most time for fun stuff.

    hi shibui ... very nice bleeds throughout ... if you haven't been following along with steve b's watercolor thread, you might want to take a look and maybe post some of your work there, he's also doing great things with watercolor

    ... thanks, shibui, these days my paintings are made more with tears than water ...

    ... Summer Day is very atmospheric ... there is air and also water lightly mixed ... you're getting good plays of light punctuated by darks at just the right moments and in all the right places, and you have long lines and daubs nicely balanced ... you are on an iPad, right? ... and do you use a stylus? ... I only mentioned steve's thread because there you/we also could discuss, if you wanted to, the details of how you are getting such great effects in watercolor -- ...
