    Forest Creek Brush stroke details

    Just completed intricate brush strokes for a piece called "Forest Creek"
    I used a royalty-free photo for reference.

    Beautiful painting

    I like the sunlight shinning into the creek bed. Neat technique with the sticky oil paint.

    Thanks so much! Yes, I love the oil impasto look of this. I'm kind of experimenting with different styles and methods. Haven't gotten into watercolor yet, I'll definitely try it soon.
