    Lady and a Rose

Posted this earlier, but a very embarrassing and funny thing that Caesar noticed, she had 5 fingers and a thumb, so here it is again, not very good on the hands, some day I am just going to paint hands lol lol

    A nice old fashion style.
Trouble with hands? If your painting them from a ref just paint what you see, not what you know. Tougher by memory.. then maybe what you know. But you have your own hands as models.

A beautiful vintage style painting Pat, love this one !!
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

I wouldn't have thought Caesar would have ever looked at a woman's fingers.

    Seriously, very nice job Pat.

A lovely rendition of the roaring twenties, very well painted.
I think caesar is getting a little older if he is looking at fingers.

Well spotted, Caesar! More or fewer than 5 fingers would be distracting from this elegant lady of the needle point. I think it's the heavy canvas weave that makes me think of that. Nice vintage feel to it all. You're getting better and better at figures and faces all the time.

Because you've introduced some more lively lighting and color, it feels as if she will step out of the vintage picture and doing the hootchie kootchie or some ragtime dance. . . Nice vitality.

    GO PAT!!!!!!!

She has such a wistful look in her eyes, wonder what she is thinking of. Great painting once again Pat

Thankyou all so much for your very kind comments, and love the humor of our dear friend Caesar, I think he will get a chuckle out of it also
