    Spread Wings

I don't do a lot of birds, but when the urge strikes, I try to rise to the occasion. This is from several refs and some imagination. Digitally painted in style of Oils on Canvas. Orig working size was 2400x2000 pxls at 200 ppi resolution. This time, I used an alternate Drawing pad I bought last year, but haven't used much - Kanvus - active working area is appx 8x11". I bought it on sale for less than $100

Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

Woe to the snake. Excellent and fearsome. Predatory. Could just as easily be a dragon it feels so powerful.

One of the things I recall from Texas was driving on a back road and rounding a corner to see one of these chaps flying up out of the very tall grass with a writhing snake in its talons. Thought I was looking at a scene from the Mexican flag at that moment. I never saw that before or since.

I like this painting a lot. It's full of positive energy. Looking at it you don't believe everything that your mind is telling you especially if it's negative and self-defeating. You are no longer going to allow your destructive minds to keep you stuck in the wrong place. Spread your wings and fly! That's what this painting says.
