    Cityscape

I wanted to create a picture with a really strong mood.

EDIT: I worked up this image from a scene that caught my eye in Ken Burns' wonderful documentary series "JAZZ". My thanks.

You got a terrific, moody artpiece which is among Your best and one of the most interesting ever in here IMO.
If may, I would just erase behind the lamps where the two layers sum reinforce the tone and or darken a little bit the poles and lamps ahead.

Thanks very much Caesar. And yes I agree with your comment. Unfortunately I had combined the layers before I noticed what had happened. So I am stuck with it unless I do some fancy editing, and in the end I decided I quite liked it :-) Call it expressionism!

As you say "Panta rei" :-)

EDIT: Oh I see what you mean! Hmm ... yes I think I can fix that. I'll work on it over the next day or so. I have just got a new pair of spectacles with progressive lenses and they are taking some getting used to!

Lots to like about this, love the way you scaled the lamps and the graininess of the whole scene give that grungy city look.

I have made the changes that Caesar suggested, and it looks better, I think.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.
