    The Tramp and the Robin

There was a very sad and lonely old tramp,he would walk miles in a day,the people he met would turn their heads away from him,and tell their children to come away from the dirty tramp...
He was not always a tramp, not too long ago he was a well to do lawyer, with a big house and car,but his wife became ill and he stayed off work to look after her but she got worse and worse as time went on,his boss told him if he did not return to work soon he wouild have to let him go,but he would not leave his sick wife on her own,he sold his fine house and car to get the money for a top Harley street doctor,he did everything he could to make her well, but doctor told him it was a hopeless case, and in the end the man had no money left to care for her,and soon after that his wife died, so the man had
nothing to stay for,all his money gone, and his fine house and car...That was how he became a tramp,he couldnt stay in the place he knew,it made him too sad, and he became very lonely...
But one day the rain stopped and the sun came out, a little robin came and perched on his old trolley, and the tramp gave the robin his last piece of bread, the robin stayed with the tramp from that day on and they became friends, and now when people see the tramp with a little robin on his shoulder they smile...And the old tramp smiles back.

jacktar...a sad tale but one that is not far from the truth for many homeless, I love the robin as a sign of hope and renewal in your story, the illustration is right up there with your usual excellent work...

Hi Jack, one of your best! Perfect details and I love blue light that permeates the whole work.

nice one Jack. like the vertical portrait mode one. the colors and composition work way better in the zoomed out mode. great job on this.

Now he only needs to train the bird to sit on his shoulder and talk about pieces of eight. . . or at least pieces of crackers.

Nice one jack. Good mood. Some pathos.
