    Yellow Rose

Hi everyone has been so long and such a big change in my life and time to get back to painting, this is the first in such a long time, back in Canada now in BC, husband in nursing home for
the last 2 yrs, it has been very difficult as also lost my sister 2 years ago, but I am doing better now as I am near my daughter in Vancouver so things are much easier now, hope you are
all fine and staying healthy as we all hope this covid will be over soon

Hi Pat, it's so good to have you back with us again. I don't remember you using watercolour before. This yellow rose is very beautiful. You have always been able to mix colours on the canvas with oils and these watercolours supporting the rose are no exception.

So sorry to read about the sadness in your life the last couple of years. Hopefully, getting back to painting will help you bear it a little easier. I hope and pray for a better year in 2021. Looking forward to your continued presence in the forums.

I'm so surprised Pat - it's quite different from your usual style. Love it!

It must be chilly in BC about now. . . which means. . . a cozy warm cuppa and ARTRAGE!!!

So great to see you painting again, Pat! It had been a long while and I was hoping you were alright. Must be great being near your daughter. Praying for your husband.

Meanwhile, on a happy note --- the colors in this painting are spectacular. I love the flower. It feels so rich and full of life. I think you're carrying over some Pino sensibilities with the palette, only you've made it your own.

    Keep painting! Stay well.
