    Little vanity

She's an after school friend of my younger son with Egyptian origin who asked him to portray her. My son, on his turn, asked me to paint her portrait rather than simply drawing her himself ... so here she is from a (somehow manipulated I guess) reference picture (I didn't know her personally)!

Thank You, dear SCP! I hope she'll be (moderately) grateful to my son for this (and he earns some popularity points too) ...

I'm glad to know You like this, dear Marylin Anne. Thank You!

Thank You, dear J Witt! I just cannot work too long on a painting, so I'm satisfied enough.

Considering her possible character, dear Pat, I'm sure it's a definition she would appreciate. Thank You!

Thank You, dear Geoff! It's possibly another way to celebrate spring beauty.

Thank you, dear D Akey. I try to paint what I see and what else I think to see.

Dear, Albert, Your words made me reflect.
It makes me smile with tenderness when kids start to grow up, seek for self-esteem and appreciation, and work on their image to find their place in the society. They tendentially approach all this change and evolution within a perspective of love, acceptance and joyful and generous sharing of their energy and talents.
Their happiness, innocence, intelligence should be felt by us as new life, motivation for commitment, blessing.
I therefore hate who spoils their hopes, their right expectations, take their smiles away and I also remind of the possibly only merciless words of Jesus Christ, those against the ones giving scandal, corrupting, perverting, spoiling the new generations, thus the Spirit (and I'm certainly not referring to nude paintings or any strict, written ruling) ...
