Great portrait! I prefer this second one . More intense with a touch of mystery and shivering. Maybe an Hitchcock's atmosphere
    Really a good work.

Hi Mannafig. I think where you're frustrated is in the structure. I know that in glamour shots, one wants to minimize the small details that show irregularities that cosmetics are supposed to hide. But the fact is that there is a certain underlying structure to the head and face that, tho often edited out in the virtual darkroom, has a supporting role that makes it not only look like your subject, but keeps it from being too undifferentiated.

I would recommend looking at noses for example, and see how the shape can be broken down into planes. You're painting with light and shadow and knowing how the shadows should fall gives you a leg up on how you can ignore parts successfully.

Anyway, I know it sounds like work to study it a little, but it will pay off. Your finishing techniques are good. So that's the bit that would help.

I love your stuff though and I have a love affair with beauty as well. So keep up the vision!

Really fine. She looks so aristocratic, even if she actually bacame so later, officially at least ...
I also like very much how You got her blonde hair by ink traits.

So pretty Amanda. I love them both. Wasn't she a natural beauty? I love to watch her in "Rear Window."

Hi D Akey I think you are right. I have always struggled with noses and I will be taking your advice on board and doing some more practice and study on them.
