What a wonder! This is an abstract materpiece to me! I utterly love all of this, the textures, the shapes, the composition and the palette.

    Alexandra,
The first impression I received when viewing this was ... "The light
within will reveal the odyssey without!" What a wonderful piece who's
subtle smokey shades and stirring ambiance seems to allude a redeeming
conclusion. The artwork is both intense and enlightening! Excellent!

Sandy... I totally agree with Katie and Silvy and Mairze is so eloquent in her appreciation... this is really quite a masterpiece of symbolism and abstraction. The color pallet is subtle and powerful... really one of your best...

Thank you so much everyone. I am so happy you liked this one.
All of it was a happy accident I am afraid. One of those experiments using Peter's cool methods.
Personally I believe when dark times come, that a bright cheerful positive attitude radiates just as the sun and can be uplifting to not only yourself, but to those around you. This is what this piece means to me.
In this case I used the tube, loaded knife, duplicated, used different effects. With the circle in the center-this is what surprised me the most.
I used a preloaded stencil and a loaded knife. I duplicated and changed sizes and merged them until I liked it. I used the masking tools and airbrush for the light with the blurry knife.
I merged most of my layers already-but maybe this will show a little of the beginning. Again, many thanks dear friends:
