    Downtown Smithville

    The fictitious Smithville.
I grabbed a piece of Printer Paper as I often do when messing around with Watercolor for I do not want to practice on good paper and then painted this with my Prang super cheap colors. Then I enhanced it with Water based Oil Pastels and scanned it into AR and enhanced it even farther and here it is.
    Hope you like it!

Neal... really nice.. I like the watery feel from the original watercolors but the enhanced saturation and bits of texturing really add to a more complete painting. pretty darn cool effect.

Nice job, love the effect, however it does not look much like downtown Smithville, Ontario, where I live.

Gary. I think this is going to be hard to beat as a natural media method. Thanks.

Geoff. Thanks. Wow, I didn't expect that, I'm glad to hear it's not your town!

  9. Love this. I really like the near natural lighting with the almost cartoon buildings - it's a very good mix.
