    of you two penguin works I like this the best.. you really captured a fuzzy cuddly nature.. can penguin's be overfed?? nice work.. glad to see you back in action here..

    Nice one PD! Penguins are so graphically fun to paint. Their markings are so cool. Another one that you might enjoy are Puffins.

    I think this really works as a picture of penguins as a metaphor for a kind of relating. Nice technique as well.

    Thank you for your comments. Puffins, yes. And the appearance of my albatross seen frequently in my paintings, staring at you as you stare at the painting as in Velazquez's Las Meninans. But you must look close.

    In the colony, I really tried to capture the sheer precariousness this species chooses to hatch and raise. It is like they go to the farthest nowhere any predator would not go.
