    death Bird Sculpture

In honor of the Bird of Death!
No such thing really. This is a scanned in Abstract Painting I did this afternoon in Oil Pastel, those of the water soluble type. I have enhanced it in AR and added more to the background. I love how the texture makes it look like painted wood. I think I have found my fav medium of the natural type.

Very interesting result, I am now wondering if it would be possible to accomplish the same from scratch in AR?

You really get outstanding artpieces with pastels too and this one is marvellous in my opinion. Your artistic sensibility allows You to compose really delightful and profound images.

Iceaxe, I thought the same thing. As I looked closely I thought that it reminded me of some of Gary's textures when zoomed in upon. He get's some interesting effects.
Ceasar, Thanks so much for your comments!

Very intriguing. There are birds in different cultures who transport the soul. So you're not as far from some grounding.

Also, I personally like the idea of the Phoenix as a bird of death because it includes rebirth.

Anyway, the image is a very cool abstraction with a Henry Moore sort of solidity (though different in many ways as well). Nice one.
