The Protector (3D render & ArtRage)

Here's another 3D render I touched up using ArtRage & some color tweaking in Photoshop Elements 10. I started this render before Mom's passing and just got up enough nerve to finish it.

Mom always enjoyed looking at my stuff and was my biggest fan. God how I miss her....

Here's the base render from Vue...

WOW! Alien special effects in here! Terrific illustration and super-rendering!
I'm terribly sorry for You mom, dear mate, but I'm pretty sure she's still and will ever be Your greatest fan, in the widest sense, and I think You may feel her at least as much clearly as her merely physical missing!

Good work Kenmo and a fitting tribute I am sure! Your mum had good reason to be proud.

On a lesser note, I know almost nothing about 3D rendering. How does one start and what with? (particularly landscape)
If I were marooned on a desert island, please air drop me a copy of Artrage 5.0! (Plus a laptop and solar panel)

I use Vue Complete which costs a couple of hundred dollars but

I would recommend a copy of Vue Pioneer which is completely free....

Or DAZ3D's Bryce ver 7 Personal Learning version but I have no first hand experience with Bryce since version 5....
