    I use the Ink Pen.
I set the aspect, opacity, and taper length to 100%.
I set smoothing and rotation at 0%.
Then I draw a long, unbroken line with lots of sharp angles-- not zig-zag; sort of random pointiness without any curves.
Once I lift the pen, the line retains its angles, but has a long tapering into nothingness at both ends.
It's fun to play with-- when you get one you especially like, make your own stencil of it.

Anyway, I hope you are having as much fun "raging" as I am...

    Graham,

it only took me four hours...
    it's pretty close I think.
use white for the color and put on a dark blue or black background.

it's a four row by four column sticker
four of them are wavy lines that represent the branches
and the other dots represent the main bolt of lightning
you can examine the sticker once you install it to have a look
also you will find the preset in a special section now in your sticker spray
presets called artist block to be able to find the preset.
there are more sticker spray presets to come when I am finished with the
artist block series, but figured you needed this now so it is ahead of the game.

Graham, you are welcome. I kind of like sticker challenges. To see if brushes or effects can be duplicated. While I am not as talented at it as Misterpaint Someonesane or Hanzz... I do enjoy seeing if I can come up with a certain desired effect within the spray variation parameters.

side note: The sticker making process could definitely be simplified a bit more, I think, which would make it more accessible to everyone because it is a time saver and a lot of fun to play with.
