    Art Gallery / Museum Software?

I see on this forum where some Ragers have their paintings in digital galleries or what is called "museums. They are 3D with paintings and people included.

Is this software that can be purchased? If so, could you supply a link.

    Thanks in advance,

    Judith

are you referring to Misterpaint's galleries in Second Life?
--> Second Life Virtual Art Gallery
and --> Misterpaint personal Art Exhibition

if so, those galleries can be found in the virtual world of Second Life. it's like a game, although it's not a game but a virtual reality
you'll need to register an avatar and download/install a software at www.secondlife.com to be able to go in-world and visit the galleries.

it's free to use ... but if you want to build a gallery on your own you'll need a parcel of land which will cost you money. also, you'll need a pretty decent computer (hardware) and a fast internet connection to be able to run Second Life.

Second Life is a world entirely built by its residents, everything you see (buildings, landscapes, animals, vehicles, avatar skin/clothing, animations, ....) has been built and scripted by someone like you or me . also, there is a virtual economy, so people can sell their creations or rent land to earn money (which can be traded for real money, U$D, Euro, Yen etc).

in Second Life you can find a lot of wonderful art, but you'll be able to find anything else too ...

No, I'm thinking of software here by Briex, at:

    http://www.briex.eu/exposition/exposition.html

Is this software that can be purchased or does one have to build it?
