    Ape eyes

This is a pencil drawing using three layers one for brown, black and white pencil lines. The reference photo was uploaded and I drew from that, and I used an A4 size canvas. The background paper is using cardboard_tile150 and the setting for the pencil is Soft Tip.

I like that you saved your highlights for the eyes. It draws the eye to the eyes as it were

    Very nice.

Wow, the sketching may be very very good but I see nothing but those wonderful eyes.

very good work... I like the close in crop of his face... it makes the eyes look even more wary and intense... hope your wrist recovers so we get more great work like this one.

Thanks guys for the encouragement. I was very pleased with it until I printed it out. The old back light problem loomed which is so typical of digital art, making the printout so dark, so I made it into a .png with a transparent background and printed it out on brown paper. I was really pleased with the result and put it on my Gallery wall. However, what surprised me, was that there is no white in the printing ink! I figured that it uses the white from the copy paper to save on ink or something, so I had to draw in the white of the eyes with a white marker pen. I thought that was quite an interesting discovery (for me at any rate).

Excuse the reflection of me in the glass of my drawing while taking the photo.
