    A matter of perspective - Repainted 2x

D Akey suggested a few things. I gave it a go on some of them and revised this painting.

I moved the new version up and entered the original again.

Quite a good bit of information well thought through, EB.

The depth in the mountains and all about is clear and sharp. Well done on that. Good display of understanding. Brilliant actually.

My personal recommendation would be that when doing reflections in water, it's sometimes a good thing as far as picture making, to not make it quite so mirror like lest it take on an inkblot quality of evenness folded over. Just for variety you can do things like disturb the water a little for interest and variety, and pick parts to let reflect more than others.

Blurring it vertically a little (rather than squashing it) and come laterally more or less across the surface as if a breeze or current were passing through can keep it interesting.

But this is really fine work. Well done on the atmospheric perspective. The mountains recede nicely. You're getting good, EB! Remember a couple years ago. Tremendous breakthroughs.
