    Geoff... what a wonderful image... the swans are so impressive in flight and the great warm background you did on this really makes the swans seem to be in space ..the sharp edges on the feathers and supremely accurate drawing is amazing... love it totally.!

    Is that a muddy belly or are the females naturally toned down to browns a bit as with so many other species of birds? Or was that one hanging out in the muddy shallows I wonder.

    Anyway, it's gorgeous. Really feels like speeding though the air in a bit of a glide and easy flaps. Swoosh!

    Thanks everyone for your kind words, they are really appreciated. As to the under belly colour I think they are feathers with a brown undertone on the female
