    Immiscible inks/paints

My daughter wants to try an art project where liquid inks or paints are floated together and they dont mix (at least for enough time to photograph them). Kind of like spin-art but in liquid form not on paper.

Are there any inks or paints that will not mix with each other and retain their own color for at least several minutes?

If there isnt anything readily available would something like sumi sticks ground into liquids of different densities work?

This is the forum for the computer painting software 'ArtRage'. The art supplies forum is a place for users to post additional material to use with this software.

For physical art supplies I'd recommend asking on a general art forum instead. Wetcanvas is one I know of. I hope this helps.
