    Autch!

Had an accident on my bike yesterday, being rammed by an crazy express train of a biker. We both flew a couple of meters and landed on the road - luckily no cars or busses passed that instant...
The racer guy is pretty bruised up and is still in the hospital, I got away with sore wrist and nothing broken. But quite a shocking experience anyway!
My right hand is okay so luckily I can still draw, so here's a sketch of...what else than my left bandaged hand :-)

glad to hear you are both alright. the art piece is wonderful. love the textured background as well as the colors employed and the live wiry sketch that inevitably describes the form of your left hand. very scary ordeal and though your hand is probably not a great pleasure to look at in person you have turned it into an art piece that really is aesthetic.

Tore... wow so sorry to hear of your accident... sounds like you were lucky... I like this work especially your sense of color...and the line work... do you use the ink pen or the pencil for the lines?.... they have a certain density that works well against the muted off hues you use.

Thanks a lot for your concern! I feel I really was pretty lucky, getting away with only some minor bruises. Ironically 5 minutes before I had bought the first bike safety helmet in my life - AND had put it on!
Regarding the drawing: I use the hard tipped pencil for the lines and the different watercolor brushes plus some knife smearing/scratching for the background.
Oh, and thanks for the kind words about my little drawing :-)

Tangled drawing. Perfect for the accident.

Hope you're right handed so you can continue to draw. Also hope the other chap heals quickly. Glad it wasn't worse for you. Good job you had the helmet! Just in time, eh? Wow.
