    So very nice to see you again Khalid! I needed a trip to the islands.

    Hope everything is well with you.

    I love your sense of space using your palette and marks as you do. I can see this is softer as if laying in the tones.

    Is this how you lay in a painting sometimes, or were you trying something different? Because I recall your paintings being rather calligraphic in marks. Does this establish the blueprint onto which you can then use those brush strokes?

    Or are you heading in a new direction?
