Dear Mike, I painted this for a friend that I just lost. I know you would appreciate this. He was a D Day war veteran. I lost touch after Christmas, family things going on, and I phoned and found out that he passed away in February. I was broken up. He was a dear friend and I thought the world of him. I wish that I could have held his hand and at least said goodbye while he was in the hospital.
Anyway, this is for Mr. D. I hope you find your enchanted island. I will miss you.
