    http://dickoostra.com/artpainting.html (my father in law)

They are members of the so called northern realists and exhibit in groups and as single artist

Thanks Haakoo! Yes I really enjoyed these links. I think Helk Helmantel is an amazing artist. Loved seeing his still lifes. Thank you for sharing the link.

also enjoyed the Canto project by Rob Mohlmann 124 realism paintings that were done over a 10 year period. wow... excellent.

and the amazing realistic landscapes by Dick Oostrom were also a joy to see.

I went to the museum of Möhlmann this summer and the pictures on the site don't do justice to the real life paintings,as it never does.
Helmantel is educated in arts but both Mölmann and Oostra are selftought.
Though Oostra(my father in law) is self educated you'd might think he'd be more liberal in the everlasting discussion about digital and traditional art,
though finding it interesting and he does use a computer,he's not that liberal

Haakoo, It would be nice if you could get a chance to study with your father in law. That is very cool you have a father in law that is an accomplished artist.

Don't know if you know any traditional artists but they are a bit of this world in which I mean they aren't that approachable
