Love Leonard Cohen and your wonderful tribute to him.

Others I can admire his cleverness, while yet others resonate almost not at all for me.

In the grand scheme of things it never is perfect. But it's the the consistent intention to aspire to it, therein lies the inner Art. And that comes out however it may, and the artistry in that is hard to evaluate from the outside, IMHO.
So true, and sadly many cannot see beyond the outside.
    Thanks D Akey.

MSIE, and Juz, Thank you very much.

Thanks MSIE for sharing this link. So beautiful!

Here is the one that I like best first shared by Peter Pinckney. These young men move me to tears.

I like this digi creation a lot, Sandy. Colors evoke the right mood, simply beautiful.

Here's the link. For some reason the one you grabbed didn't work.

Thanks so much dear Jasmine. I appreciate your kind comments so much dear lady.

Thanks AT, these are the colors that simple felt right to me, a mood I was feeling rather when I listened to his beautiful words. To me, the way the song is sung is so important as well. So many others will sing his song and add their own way to the ending of the sentences...and to me it diminishes the meaning all together. I won't be to hard though as it took me weeks to learn how to sing it.

Thanks dear D Akey, as you see I am not all that internet saavy.

Gary, I am so happy that you popped back in and caught this link. I too listened to so many other versions, and came back to this version.

    Another thanks to Peter!

Sandy, great painting of good old Leonard Cohen. Whom I couldn't stand when in the early days sang in a higher register and sounded horrible. Now he sounds great in his rich low voice! High or low he is a great songwriter.
My real name is Neal Gilbertson, AKA Gilbert Neilson, AKA Jibes.
I'm a musician too. Please come hear my music at:

Wow Neal, I haven't researched his past recordings. Yeah, this one is a fav. Thanks for checking it out and your kind comment.
I still want to hear you-but it says I must register..is this right? I think I neglected to do this last time. Still eager to hear it!
