    Just a photo

I took this picture during a painting workshop. The artist was there seating quietely and surrounded by her creations. At home I tried to paint this scene, but could not, the photo is too powerful and I decided to leave as it is: just an incidental photo.

Good to see you around, my friend.

and WOW! It's like a Vermeer. . . except for the kind of art she is displaying. Incredible. The camera picked up on the highlights just like Vermeer - simplified, atmospheric, and perfectly placed. Also the burnt sienna tone to the whole gives it that early vintage oil painting feel.

And the connotation of the way the focus is working carries some psychological impact.

It's perfect, as you have said. BRAVO! and thanks for sharing this jewel.

So you're painting in the world. That's brilliant. Only down side is I can't be there too.

It takes a truly artistic talent to take this shot and then such a wonder out of it! There's still much of Your painting style here too, apart from the incredibly fitting observation by D Akey!
