    Boardwalk Cafe

I got suggestions from a few (Caesar) that I should populate some of my interiors. Well here is a very impressionistic piece with people. Orig. size appx 12x16 at 300 ppi. 2 layers.

Skylar.... great... I like having people in your interiors... these add so much. with all your skill at people and portraits.. not to put some in your work was a shame...I am glad you took the pestering well from Caesar and other.. we are all the better for it.

What a lovely atmosphere you have created here, I think we have all been in places like this.

Each person has his own story in this painting, I wonder what tales they could tell. Another fine painting Skylar

Your Boardwalk Cafe is certainly among the best Cafe paintings I enjoy. From a different perspective it reminds me of Hooper's Nighthawks. Your isolated nonspecific characters reflects Hooper's sense of city loneliness, nameless anonymity, noncommunicating 20th century despair.

    I like it very much.

The restricted colour palette works brilliantly to set the indoor scene here Skylar... beautiful
