    Sax Painting Remix

One of the things I love about working on the computer is the endless ability to rework images and ideas. Here's a look at a progression from original photo to photo manipulation/digital painting, to physical acrylic to new manipulation/painting. Best wishes to everyone. Al

NOTE: The forum software screwed up the image attachment order so we have here:
    1. Latest digital painting
    2. First round photo manipulation
    3. The original Photo
    4. Physical Acrylic painted from #2

Al love the color and energy on the final digital....the photo manip is interesting but lacks the vibrant energy of the final work... I like photo manip images...i have done lots of them and they are the springboard to other digital ideas... thanks for sharing this creative workflow.

The evolution is Great. All that Scribbled Energy really conveys the action. The acrylic version Rocks (So-to-speak)

Call me crazy, but the first two, especially the second, look like 3D like in the old ViewMaster stereoscopic thingies. The planes look like they are apart and floating. Very cool effect. Or also those old relax your eyes until a dimensional shape comes out of a very active 2D surface -- ie Statue of Liberty or Dinosaur or Palm Trees to name a few I saw in those old commercial posters. The cool thing here though is that you can see the image from the get go.

And I must say that between the Jazz image, the colors and the patina, as well as the 3D effect makes for one seriously (or 2 in this case) dynamic image!

WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Go Al!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Play it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
