    Leaving Hampton (Arkansas)

From a couple of old photos my grandparents had, and imagination. Nostalgia. When I was about 5, we traveled to hampton for the first time (for me). The town had (has) only one stop light. One layer. Painterly oils.

Wow... I absolutely love this one Skylar. I come from a very small town in Arkansas, and this really brings back memories. (we didn't have a stop light or stop sign on main street at all. LOL. )
    Great job!

This limited palette painting eloquently show Your mastery with real oils and brushes! Everything is absolutely fine here and magnificently concurs to the mood and atmosphere.

Well done...a fine painting and choice of palette
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

I love it, the use of a limited palette certainly adds to the time period.

Somehow narrative is this painting. It seems to tell about the time, which is gone. It's beautiful narration though...
