    Whittington Castle, (Ipad)

    This is from a reference photo I took 3 years ago of Whittington Castle, Shropshire, hope you like it.

    A beautiful painting...love what you did with the water !!!
    Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

    extremely well done!... all the details are so realistic.. the sheen on the water.. the tree shapes and colors and the castle stonework... looks like you could indeed walk right into it..

    Thank you Magen, MSIE and semds for your kind comments.
    This has been the most difficult to do on the ipad but it was a good learning curve. The small rocks around the borders of the pond I couldn't get right they were two flat, it took a while but found if I used the oil on full with no thinners and then dabbed the paint, it gave me the relief I wanted. I then slightly smoothed the surface with the palette knife set to wet.
