    The Forgotten Key

I was so inspired by Scott's painting...Silo, he made something boring into a fine art piece, so just wanted to take a old key and try to create something of interest, so hope you like it, definately not a Scott, but enjoyed doing it......oil and knife

pat this is an amazing effort by you.... you have captured the character of the old iron key with it highlights, patina, small nicks and given it meaning... this is a very very fine painting... you should try a few more.. you seem to have a real talent for this kind of detail work.

Pat, simple objects do make for great subjects...this painting is amazing, perhaps your best one to date...
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

Very good Pat, I really like the 3 dimension effect that you have created.
I could pick it up and it would fit into the lock perfectly.

Your 'Key' is perfectly surfaced and lit. Very believably shown. Pretty mysterious key, I would say
