in Arizona there have been huge ( hundreds of square miles ) of beautiful forests burned in these horrible fires....

Very well done... I can sense the turbulence, heat and confusion that goes along with these terrible fires.

Yep...the fires out west are terrible !!!
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

A nice abstract of a very tragic situation.

Belvrog - thanks I am glad you like the palette... I kind of discovered a neat trick to get this... I did the original work in AR then exported it to Photoshop.. there I copied the image to a new layer and then did an adjustment layer clipped to the second image layer and desaturated it. Then I painted into the adj layer mask with a very low opacity to bring back the colors as intensely as I needed.... so I got the charcoal burnt black and whites with tints of color and some intense color where i brought back the full color.... kind of a cool effect i think..

    Thumbs up

Gary, a wonderful painting of a very tragic happening. I can almost feel the heat and smell the smoke from those embers, fire and the wind
