    Village cafe/restaurant

Hi, Here is a drawing with watercolor I was asked to make for the local cafe in my village.
It is quite different from my general work, but I liked doing it. I also found out that it is possible to pick up colors from the Reference image.
    Hope you like it.

Very nice indeed, love the detail that you have achieved in your painting.

    Village cafe

    Thanks, Limey-g.
The detail is a result of my profession as an architectural illustraor. It is getting closer to architectural rendering than a free watercolor, but the client was happy with it.

Lovely fine work done in the detail, not easy to do with watercolour.

    Thanks

Thanks, Saphire, for your kind remarks.
As sight is concerned we are with the same restrictions. I have low vision since two years and use ArtRage with a magnifier to be able to see the text parts. But I found out that with some creative solutions there is more possible than one thinks!

    Cafe

    Thanks, Coops.
It was fun making this part of the village buildings. I used a photograph as refence of course, so detail was not too difficult.

    Cheers,

You brought an important point Rob for commissioned work. Artists who are able to respect it are usually more successful. I have even some doubts, if the client would be happy with 'a free watercolor'

    Commissioned work.

You are absolutely right. The client must be happy with the product.
