    Galadriel-another try2

I think it is time to read this book again.

    Second version:
Thanks all for your kind comments and D Akey for your valued opinion. I tried to soften her a bit and add the ear. I guess I perceive Galadriel to be very strong, maybe a bit unusual in the feminine features-more of a warrior type of elf. Hope this one is to your liking as well mates.

Wonderful garland, and it even resembles the actress who played her.

One observation, which is for your consideration only, with two ideas tied to it. The shapes, especially of the chin and jaw make her look very masculine. Nose too somewhat. But what it does seem to allude to also are civic statues somewhat from around the time of the WPA. Sprung from Art Deco sensibilities. One might encounter such a face on Justice or perhaps even something Soviet in order to show how tough these women are. And also a little Japanese looking as well. Although she comes across fairly male to my eye. And the classic 'fine featured' elven look is not what I see here. But it's valid what you did. Nice stuff. Good technique!

This is brilliant Alexandra, I really like the skin tones and the way you have done the hair, the colors are fabulous.

Thank you Mike, I appreciate your kind comment.

I noticed some rough edges last night and worked a bit more on her this morning. Still a long way from where I want to be in my portraits!

Sandy - these are really cool... I like the first image but thought the nose and jaw line a bit strong.. but i like it too for the same reason ... it giving the impression of a more iconic and stylized elfin warrior goddess. I like the second one also with the softer more feminine quality and the ear.. The way you did the eyes is perfect very creative.. I like the bit colors in the hair in the top image rather than the stark white of the second... ( magic colors emanating...) anyway outstanding work
