    The Contemplator

One I started tonight and finally called it done before I overdid it. Just started laying down random swatches until this started to manifest itself. I made the mistake of working on it with a black background. Now on white it looks different. A lesson learned.

Here's the light both the painter and the subject somehow ...
    Excellent new style evolution!

Nice painting and very colorful...amazing what sometimes emerges
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

Neal... you really have a talent for figures and expressions that is uniquely yours but very painterly quality to them... very impressive

You left it right where you should have, jibes! The painting truly creates the atmosphere of your title. A fine one!
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

    Excellence at its best!

A work of art for the thought. It came to me, that you may or may have not planned this one, but the end result either way was the same, excellence!

    Congrats Jaibes!
