Fall is in the air, Not!

I know it's almost summer here but I like the colors better.
This started as a sketch on a Boogie Board. I painted with greatly thinned oils and then duplicated 4 layers and messed with the blend modes of the last two. This heightened the intensity of the colors greatly.
Do you think this painting is too crude? It's kinda the look I was going for but maybe I'm just being lazy.

Neal - I like this work and I don't think it is a crude effort in the slightest.. I do sense a great deal of energy in the lines, brushwork and colors, almost more than the "realism" of the scene can handle, to me it seems you are evolving your work into a new direction.. a good one ,at the very least you are redefining your current style...

    jibes,
Any and all seasons should not be defined by the calendar but by the
mood of the artist and just love "Fall is in the air, Not." The scene seems
to reflect the movement of brisk winds on a chilled blustery autumn day
... warm sweater weather to be sure. Dramatic and well painted!

Neal, Your work is never crude. I always see a masterpiece. I love the thick strokes combined with the rich palette and the distinctively yours perspective. Always a Neal and always beautiful!
I love the fall as well, not just the show of colors, but the weather brings me to life. Summers here can be tough. Green, and beautiful, but hot and steamy-not good for my hair.

It's going to be in the 90s here today with untold amounts of humidity. Your painting already makes me feel cooler... Nice job.
