Very cool! Finally. I'm personally sort of passed that, but would recommend his work to anyone.

Too bad the world of illustration, not to mention that whole sense of style, has changed. I loved that look. Missed it personally by some years, but I do admire it like I admire the 1890s in Paris for style.

Still wouldn't mind painting and drawing that way anytime but for those pesky photographers. . . <HELP I'M SINKING INTO A CAN OF WORMS. . . >

I studied Loomis heavily, his design ideals and approach are timeless, of his books in particular my favorite is Creative Illustration. It is by far the best of the books I could ever read and I have read it 3 times now, an encyclopedia of knowledge in which I learn something new EVERY time I read it.
