    Haymaking time ( watercolour)

A 1940 McCormick tractor doing light duty turning hay at our place last season.

This is wonderful...really touches some great memories for me.
I think I was about 8 years old when I learned to drive on an old McCormick Farmall like this one.

Thanks everyone for your words of encouragement, I have never tried a watercolour before, but it was fun to do.
I set my canvas to 2500 wide at 300 dpi so I could get some detail on the tractor.
Glad it brought back some memories for you barnburner, this old tractor belongs to a good friend at the next farm to mine and it has had quite a bit of work done to it.
Very handy for raking when we are bailing.
    Regards Geoff

So beautiful indeed. We live in West Virginia and it is a delight for me to see the farms! Looks like the winter wheat is growing real well in our area now, pretty soon it will turn golden.

Thanks, having just gone through one of the wettest Aprils on record our problem is going to be getting the ground firm enough to support the weight of the big tractors.
I think it is going to be a very late season.
Still we can always spend time on artrage.
    Regards Geoff
