    "Outsourcing" my palettes to iPad?

There are a few apps around that "outsource" the controls for pc and mac programs such as Photoshop and 3DSMAX.

I'm wondering if there's a way to have an iPad app that contains all of the ArtRage tools palettes, and linking it via bluetooth or wifi to the pc or mac that has the main ArtRage prog onboard?

That way, the main prog can be just a canvas, with nothing to clutter it. And the ipad can be the messy portion.

Any chance of such an app?

We're not working on anything like that currently. I'd suggest using the Clear Canvas mode in the desktop app, press Enter or Right Click and all panels that intersect with the canvas will vanish, repeat the process and they reappear.

Thanks Matt. Yeah. I know about that mode. And I certainly do use it. But I think a standalone side app would be an amazing addendum to ArtRage.

Here's the Wired story about three interrelated apps Adobe is bringing out for the iPad. They're definitely game changers...

I tried to do something like this with:

    Air Display
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/air-d...368158927?mt=8

I moved the canvas puck off main screen into the iPad.

Its not exactly the results I expected. You need to tap to get mouse focus on the external monitor and there is some latency when you toggle controls.
Also the puck become much smaller on the smaller display so not easy to use withe the fingers.
